Our pediatrician had her referred to speech therapy, and it turned out it was really just her shy, quiet personality and that I could tell what she wanted without her speaking much. She exited speech in 3 months. It's a good idea to rule out other things, but I bet she is just fine. :-) I can't believe how fast our little girls are growing, either (Elena is 15 months).
