16 Months Old

Time is flying!

I can't believe this little sweetheart is 16 months old today!

We had Annabel's 15 month check up last Friday, right before turning 16 months old today.
She measured in at 32 inches tall which is in the 90th percentile.
She weighs in at 22.6 pounds which is 50th percentile.
To compare her to Annika at this age she is the exact same height and 2 pounds smaller!

Annabel does not like the pool!  We only took her in 2 times last summer and now we're regreting it.  We should have gone more!

Annabel only says "bye" (occasionally) and "dada" and "that".  According to our doctor she should be talking a lot more, at least 5 clear words.  We're waiting till her 18 month appointment to see how she's doing.  If she's not talking more we'll be going to a hearing specialist first and then to an early intervention program to see what's going on.  We aren't worried at all because we feel she is shy and she understands a lot.  Our doctor agrees, she can follow simple directions like "go get me a diaper" and she'll bring one or "go to Annika and play in the playroom" she'll go and play.  She just doesn't have much to say!  Our doctor said it will ultimately be up to us in a few months to see what we want to do or if we want to wait till her 2 year old check up to see if she's speaking more then, which will be 50 words.

Annabel, like her sister, is a wonderful sleeper!  She sleeps between 12-13 hours straight (yes, really, straight, no crying, no nothing, 12-13 hours SLEEPING) and takes a 2 hour nap most days.

She's running around like crazy now and can keep up with Annika.

MIA

It's been 10 days since my last actual blog post!

I totally forgot about blogging until yesterday!

We had our old neighbors (and very, very good friends) come over Sunday.  The girls went to the mall while the boys (our friend's 12 year old son and Josh) had some skateboarding and rollerblading fun together.

I wish I could have gotten a picture of the boys together!

The girls have been causing trouble lately, getting into everything!

And Annabel is getting slightly better with feeding herself.  Yay for blueberry yogurt!

I'm on day 10 of my Insanity workout.  Feeling good, my pants feel a bit bigger so that's a good sign!

Maybe soon I'll have time to type out a real blog post!!

Random Stuff, Again!

~Today was my first day driving to work from our new home.  Not too bad since it took me 30 minutes and the majority of that is straight interstate driving.  The way home from Josh's work wasn't even too bad at only 25 minutes!  I was expecting both trips to be much longer.

~I think this is currently the cutest picture of the girls.  Annika requested that Annabel sit with her at her table.

~Speaking of Annabel in the last week she has really taken off with walking, she's almost running now!  She is also sitting at the "big girl" table with Annika for most meals and when she's done eating she brings me her plate!

~Annika is speaking up a storm lately.  Her newest things to say are "don't worry about it".  She says that when I yell at her to get out of other people's yards!  Today on the way home she told me "I sit in daddy's lap and watched planes take off and land".  I guess Josh took the girls down to the airport by his work before I met him.

~Today I'm starting the Insanity workout.  I plan on writing up a full review when I finish the 60 days, which I have a feeling will take me longer than the actual 60 days.  They only give you a rest day on Sundays and I know that some days during the week I won't be able to do it.  I'm taking my before picture today, by myself, so it's going to suck but it'll give me a good idea of what difference the workout is doing after 30 days and again at 60 days.

~I can already tell I'm going to need a lock on our pantry door.  I just caught the girls eating applesauce and Annabel attempting to eat some of Bo's treats!  I've put so much on higher shelves that there's nothing on bottom shelves and the top shelves are packed!!w
