Christmas Eve's Eve

Today I wanted to play something to do for Christmas so we will be attempting gingerbread houses!

Since I suck lately at baking and cooking and anything related to the kitchen we are going to do try this:

I will post pictures if it's a success!  I have a feeling Annika is going to be up late tonight wired from the candy!

For Christmas Eve our tradition the last two years was to listen to Christmas music, order pizza for dinner and open stockings!  The girls both have pajamas, rubber duckies, bracelets and "magic" wands in their stockings!  I also bought Josh a pair of Christmas pajama pants and myself some so we can all wear them together and open presents Christmas morning with them on.

Christmas morning I'm making monkey bread (which will look nothing at all like the picture) and Josh requested sausage biscuits and gravy.

After breakfast we'll open presents.

Then if the weather is nice we'll probably take a walk around the pond in our neighborhood so Annika can ride the tricycle she got last year for Christmas and has barely been on!  Last Christmas we had tiny little 3 day old Annabel so we didn't get out much, plus I swear it was like 80 degrees out!

For our dinner I'm making asparagus (one of Annika's favorite foods!), mashed potatoes and salmon.  We're going to cook the salmon on our neighbor's grill and I can't wait!

Then it's back to work early Wednesday morning for me!  Boo!

  1. Stinky you have to go back to work so soon. But sounds like you've got a great plan for a wonderful Christmas. Hope everyone has a great day! Merry Christmas!!
